Contingency theory
The knowledge base of OrgCon has been developed using contingency theory.
The contingency theory model states that the organizational structure depends on several dimensions context. OrgCon considers six contingency factors:

The organizational structure and its different properties, i.e., complexity, formalization, centralization, etc., must fit the contingency factors of the organization. A good fit between the contingency factors, the organizational structure, and its different properties results in an efficient and effective organization.
