Missing Microsoft Jet 4.0 Database Engine
Symptoms
When trying to run OrgCon, you may experience one or more of the following symptoms:
- You recieve an error dialog when starting OrgCon
The error dialog may contain one of the following messages:- Missing Microsoft Jet 4.0 Database Engine.
or: - Your OrgCon (tm) has malfunctioned, eventhough it may be possible to continue to work, we recommend you save your work and restart your OrgCon 8 software.
And when clicking on "Detailed Error Report" you see the following information:
Message: The 'Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0' provider is not registered on the local machine.
- Missing Microsoft Jet 4.0 Database Engine.
- You are unable to open or save OrgCon input files.
Cause
This issue can occur due to the following reason:
- Microsoft Jet 4.0 Database Engine is not installed.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, use the appropriate method:
- Install Microsoft Jet 4.0 Database Engine.
How to obtain the latest service pack for the Microsoft Jet 4.0 Database Engine.
- Reinstall the OrgCon software.
Either by uninstalling and reinstalling or repairing from the "Add or Remove Programs" in "Control Panel".
