Symptoms

When trying to run OrgCon, you may experience one or more of the following symptoms:

• You recieve an error dialog when starting OrgCon
  The error dialog may contain one of the following messages:
  • Missing MDAC.
    OrgCon requires Microsoft Data Access Components(MDAC).
    or:
  • Your OrgCon (tm) has malfunctioned, eventhough it may be possible to continue to work, we recommend you save your work and restart your OrgCon 8 software.
    And when clicking on "Detailed Error Report" you see the following information:
    Message: The .Net Data OLE DB Provider(System.Data.OleDb) requires Microsoft Data Access Components(MDAC). Please install Microsoft Data Access Components(MDAC) version 2.6 or later.
• Your are unable to open or save OrgCon input files.

Cause

This issue can occur due to the following reason:

•  MDAC is not installed

Resolution

To resolve this issue, use the appropriate method:

• Install the MDAC files.
  MDAC 2.8 Download page.
• Reinstall the OrgCon software.
  Either by uninstalling and reinstalling or repairing from the "Add or Remove Programs" in "Control Panel".
